Anna Dewdney, author of the popular Llama llama series, talks breaking into the industry, balancing writing with motherhood, and advising aspiring writers.

Anna Dewdney write, sketches, paints, and raised two children, all while living 'in a big old house in Vermont with two scruffy dogs'.  She is very open about the hard work and persistence it takes to break into the publishing world( it took her 20 years before finally convince someone to publish her own work).  She is the author of the popular Llama llama series, her newest title Llama Llama Time to Share.

She sat down with Indiezone.tv's Christie McDonald at the Library of Congress National Bookfest to talk about finding the time to write/illustrate while raising two children, her advice to aspiring writers (besides never give up and don't quit your day job!), and influential books for her growing up.  Take a look!
