The CW Network Premieres iZombie at SXSW
A young, blonde, female detective solving mysteries in a television series created by Rob Thomas? This is not a flashback to 2004. We repeat, this is not a flashback to 2004. That became evident the moment we saw iZombie's heroine, Olive "Liv" Moore, using brains in a very different way than Veronica Mars ever did.
The CW network showed off pretty good brains of their own by premiering iZombie, adapted from the comic books by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, at a special screening at South by Southwest. With creator Rob Thomas's devoted cult following, the same fanbase that brought Veronica Mars to the big screen last year through a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, playing the pilot at a festival with such strong indie cred made a lot of sense. What better way could there be to claim their first victims…wait, viewers. We meant viewers.
Indiezone.TV was hard at work mingling with the partially undead cast and writers at iZombie's red carpet. Get a taste for this new ZomComRomDram with the following interviews, but don't blame us if the flavor's a bit peculiar…
